Kicking off St Patrick’s Day weekend, Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions will take over The Theater at Madison Square Garden. The Irish bout card will happen on Sunday, March 16th, and be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass.
The main event is a super welterweight match between Irish fighter Callum “King” Walsh (12-0, 10 ko’s) and Scottish Celtic champion, Dean “Deadly” Sutherland (19-1, 7 ko’s). The two southpaws will face off for 10 rounds.
“I actually prefer fighting southpaws, you know growing up I fought a lot of southpaws. In my gym back in Ireland, my main gym, my main sparring partner was a southpaw, so I actually really enjoy it,” said Walsh.
Walsh’s last time in the ring was in September 2024 against Polish fighter Przemyslaw Runowski (22-3-1, 6 ko’s). The fight took place in Dublin and ended in the 2nd round knockout victory for Walsh. Sutherland is coming off a TKO, earning a knockout victory after knocking down his opponent Fraser Wilkinson (10-1) three times in the 4th round.
The Cork-born fighter trains out of Hollywood at the infamous Wildcard Boxing gym, under champion trainer Freddy Roach. The undefeated fighter has his eyes set on any fighter above him in the ranks who is willing to step into the ring with him.
“Anybody they put in front of me, I will fight. That's how I've always been. I don't care who it is, anybody after me I'll do my best. Anybody, any of the champions, anybody above me in the rankings, I want to prove myself a legit competitor, a legit fighter so anybody,” stated Walsh.
The event will also showcase five bouts between other Irish fighters.
In a super featherweight match, Feargal McCrory (16-1, 8 ko’s) is set to fight 10-rounds against Keenan Carbajal (25-4-1, 17 ko’s). McCrory is coming into the ring following a loss against Lamont Roach (24-1-1). The Irish fighter was undefeated before coming into contact with Roach in June of 2024.
In the super middleweight division, two-time Celtic champion Emmet Brennan (5-0, 1 ko’s) will face off against Kevin Cronin (9-2-1, 5 ko’s). The two Irish fighters will take the ring for a scheduled 10 rounds.
BUI Celtic heavyweight champion Thomas Carty (10-0, 9 ko’s) will face off against U.S. native Dajuan Calloway (10-3-0, 8 ko’s). The two fighters are scheduled for 8 rounds in the ring.
