Jake Paul brings his brand of boxing to Southern California and that includes a lot of top boxers.
Paul (11-1, 7 Kos) faces Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (54-6-1, 34 Kos) the former world champion at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. on Saturday June 28. DAZN pay-per-view will stream the Matchroom and Golden Boy Promotions card live.
If you know anything about Paul he last challenged and defeated Mike Tyson in an epic boxing card that attracted more than 100 million viewers around the world.
That is a lot of people.
Now, he intends to prove he can beat a former middleweight world champion boxer when he faces the son of Mexican legend Julio Cesar Chavez.
Chavez has chased Paul for the past several years. He knows it’s a big payday and like all former boxers, they always think they have one last fight in them.
Paul intends to show he can defeat a boxing world champion as easily as he defeated former UFC world champions. If he wins, he intends to possibly fight a cruiserweight world champion like Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez.
Mexico’s Zurdo (47-1, 30 Kos) will be face is own challenge in Cuba’s Yuniel Dortico (27-2, 25 Kos) for the WBA and WBO cruiserweight world titles on the co-main event.
If victorious, Ramirez and Paul could possibly face each other.
