COMMERCE, Ca.- Tom Loeffler's 360 promotions held their Hollywood Fight Night at the Commerce Casino. The event hosted ten bouts, including three female matches, and was broadcast on UFC Fight Pass. Hollywood Fight Nights lived up to the Hollywood name with elite fighters like Ryan Garcia and Teofimo Lopez in attendance.

The main event of the night was a 10-round bout in the featherweight division between Boyle Heights native Omar Trinidad (18-1-0, 13 KOs) and Mike Plania (31-5, 18 KOs). Trinidad dazzled in a sparkling black robe and trunks as he entered the ring for his third regional WBC title defense.

Fighting out of the Philippines,  Plania reached for Trinidad's torso but Trinidad's lengthy arms, kept him at bay. Trinidad used his advantage to quickly strike his opponent, keeping him away with a left hand before following with a right overhand.

Plania struggled to get inside, trying to sneak his left hand into Trinidad's torso but was met by counters from Trinidad's lengthy arms.

Trinidad's left hand drove Plania to the ropes as Plania pushed himself off and attempted to counter.

For every punch landed by Plania, the LA native rushed closer, throwing multiple more.

Trinidad battered Plania with combinations that swung his head back and forth. Plania attempted to rush Trinidad but was met back with counter-combinations. Plania jumped in an attempt to connect with Trinidad but came short.

After 10 rounds, Trinidad won the unanimous decision. The 28-year-old remains undefeated with 18 victories and 1 draw.

Mizuki Hiruta

The co-main event was an 8-round bout between WBO world superfly flyweight champion Mizuki “Mimi” Hiruta (7-0, 2 KOs) and Maribel Ramirez (15-11-4, 3 KOs).

Making her debut in the United States, Japanese fighter Hiruta entered the ring with a cape adorned in large yellow letters that said, “Call me Mimi.”

After a slew of combinations by the pink-haired fighter, Ramirez quickly dropped to her knees before rising, only to drop once more. Referee Ray Corona let the fight continue, but Ramirez was already dazed by Hirutas's hits. Hirutas's heavy-hitting punches swung over and under as her opponent struggled to stay upright.

Ramirez came back throwing combinations that didn’t phase Hiruta. Ramirez landed hooks to Mimi's face but Ramirez's body remained swaying as she dropped to a knee once more. The two exchanged hands before the round ended.

Ramirez continued to lean forward before throwing exhausted left-right.

By the 6th round, the Japanese fighter continued to batter her Mexican opponent, and an accidental head butt led to a blood spill. Ramirez picked up speed in the 7th round but Hiruta continued to move with precision and power. The bout was stopped in the 8th round after Ramirez’s gash continued to profusely spill blood on the two. The final decision came after judges scored 80-71, a technical decision in favor of Hiruta.

“I want to become stronger. I don't know myself. I wanted to know more about the world. I am a world champion. I want to spread my wings to the world more. I want to entertain because there's a feeling that in costume I'm very enthusiastic. So in costume, I am bringing a great spirit,” said Hiruta.

Other Bouts

In the undercard, Ali Akhemedov (23-1, 17 KOs) faced off against Malcolm Jones.

Jones began the fight using a left hook that could be heard around the venue. Soon after, Akhemedov lunged a powerful left hook that could be heard slamming into the side of Jones’ head. The two lanky fighters used their long arms to reach into each other's body. Jones threw quick combinations. By the second round, Akhemedov had Jones unable to retaliate. Jones was defenseless on the ropes before the fight was brought to a stop at 1:17 of the second round. Akhmedov improves with his 23rd victory and 17th knockout.

In the super bantamweight division, Adan Palma (10-0, 6 KOs) and Sharone Carter went six rounds.

The first round was slow as the two were hesitant to get inside their partners' space. Palma used his straight left to land in his opponent's torso before quickly retreating.

The two became more acquainted as the bout progressed, Carter began attacking followed by a hug. Cornered along the ring, Carter and Palma's arms became intertwined once more.

Carter was stopped twice after hugging and hitting behind the head

Palma came back in the fourth round, cutting off the ring from Carter as Carter struggled to break away.

Palma's jabs kept Carter backing away and ducking before running circles around the ring. Carter continued to stumble, run, and hug leading to the lack of a real fight or action for the audience.

Palma won
