Ireland’s Callum Walsh (5-0, 4 KO) expected to knockout his opponent Thursday night at Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions Hollywood Fight Nights at the Quiet Canyon Country Club in Montebello and he did just that.

After his last fight went to the score cards, Walsh was unsatisfied with his performance, “I don’t like to go the distance” he said. Thursday night, Walsh took on a fierce super welterweight from Las Vegas Delen Parsley (13-2, 4 KO) in an eight-round battle.

In the beginning rounds, Walsh looked to be in a bit of trouble as Parsley held his own including bleeding from the mouth. This was until Walsh scored the knockdown. Parsley’s legs did not appear to be able to handle the power in next rounds, but he got up and the fight continued.

Walsh knocked down his opponent again in round two and three; but the third-round knockdown was waived. Surprised at his opponent’s resilience, Walsh was determined to end the fight soon now. A quick combination sent Parsley to the canvas and Referee Edward Hernandez quickly stopped the fight at 2:26 in the third round.

Co-main

Ukraine’s Serhii “El Flacoo” Bohachuk (21-1, 21 KO) made his long-awaited return to the ring and captured the WBC Continental Americas Title against southpaw opponent from Oakland, California in a scheduled 10-round super welterweight battle.

It had been over a year since Bohachuk’s last fight win in September of 2021 but Bohachuk wasted no time against his opponent Aaron Coley (16-4-1, 7 KO). A quick left hook to the chin of Coley dropped him with no answer back. Referee Thomas Taylor called the fight only 1:54 in the second round. Bohachuk captured his 21st knockout win on his record.

Other fights

In a 4-round super flyweight bout Riverside’s Daniel “Chucky” Barrera (1-0-1, 1 KO) faced southpaw Pomona’s Isaac Anguiano (3-1-1, 1 KO). After four rounds of uppercuts and hard hits the judges decided to give both fighters a majority draw. The scores were 38-38 twice and 39-37.

East Los Angeles’ own Omar Cande Trinidad (10-0-1, 8 KO) delivered hard shots against his opponent from Houston, Texas Jose Edgardo Garcia (13-3-3, 9 KO). It wasn’t until double uppercuts from Trindad forced a stoppage from referee Tom Taylor. Only 1:12 into the second round, Trinidad wins his 10th knockout win in his professional career.

A lightweight battle between southpaw David Romero (2-0-1, 1 KO) and Michael De La Cruz (1-1-2) ended in a split draw after four rounds. Both boxers were aggressive from the beginning and a bit of anger came into the battle. Essentially, the fight was a slugfest that promoted the judges to call the fight a draw. The scores were 39-37 twice and 38-38.

Two super flyweights went to battle in their first professional pro debut in a 4-round battle on UFC Fight Pass. Gloria Munguilla (1-0) of Los Angeles, California battled it hard against her Maywood, CA opponent JoAnna Espinoza (0-1). Espinoza wanted to fight her first professional fight as a technical and calm fighter. But, Munguilla had other plans as she bullied her opponent out the gate of the first round. Munguilla carried that energy until the last rounds. The judges saw the fight as a majority decision win for Munguilla with the scores of 39-37, 39-37, 38-38.
