Elite Boxing Promotions Ends Year on Saturday at Commerce Casino

LOS ANGELES-A handful of Elite Boxing Promotions’ best are ready to rumble during Evolution 8 at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, CA on December 10, 2022. With 12 bouts scheduled, matchmaker Eddie Rodriquez made sure the night will be a non-stop battle royal, “My team and I put in a lot of work to make quality matches for the fans of boxing.”

Talented local Adrian Alvarado (7-0-1) is ready to headline the evening as the main event against a well-seasoned Roberto Pucheta (10-22-3), “I’m ready for whoever, I know my opponent is coming to give me a good fight so I’m hoping to make a statement and take him out.”

Fighters returning to the Commerce Casino as Elite Boxing's alumni include Francisco Casillas (3-0-1) vs. Pedro Salome (3-1-1), Pablo Melgar (5-2-1) vs. Jesus Perardua (8-7), Jose Rodriguez (4-1) vs. Darynn Leyva (1-5-1), Jose Barajas (1-0-) vs. Spencer Bryant (0-1), Jose Elias (4-0) vs. Jose Cruz (1-2), and Hector Lopez (1-0) vs Jesus Godinez (3-5).

“My opponent fought Floyd Diaz who I fought in the amateurs. I can’t wait for the fight, I feel very confident,” said Francisco Casillas.

“I’ve been waiting to do six rounds, so hopefully after this fight I can finally get there. It’s been a long time coming for me to do six,” said Pablo Melgar

A special bout of the evening will be the return of Adrian Montoya trained by Edgar Cruz of Cruz Boxing. Montoya will face off with Leonardo Torres (10-17-1), “I’m very anxious to get back into the ring. This is a good fight for me to get back on track.” Also returning to the ring is Ivan Zarate (3-1) who will face Dimitri Glen (0-1), and Jaime Rios (0-1-1) vs. Larry Serrano Romero (0-3-1).

Additionally, there will be two exciting bouts from undefeated fighters Osvaldo Lopez (3-0)and Joshua Anton (5-0):

Anton on facing the debut of Michael Ortega, “I feel very prepared. I prefer not to research my opponent beforehand and feel most comfortable adjusting in the ring.”

Lopez on his upcoming battle with Juan Meza Moreno (4-1), “I’ve had a great sparring camp. Whatever my opponent brings, I’m ready for it.”

And last but not least, the night could not be possible without the woman behind Elite boxing who wears many hats known as Melody Doria, “I’m excited for our first solo show to close out the year and to have the opportunity to display our local Los Angeles fighters.”
