It was homecoming for WBO and WBA super featherweight world champion Vasyl Lomachenko and his adopted Southern California fans were eager with anticipation for his return. He did not disappoint as he crushed England’s Anthony Crolla in four rounds on Friday. Arnold Barboza and Gilberto Ramirez also fought.

WBA and WBO Vasyl Lomachenko returned to Los Angeles the conquering hero at Staples Center and fought England's Anthony Crolla a former world champion. The crowd was ecstatic.

In the third round Lomachenko pinned Crolla against the ropes. Moments later referee Jack Reiss ruled this a knockdown because he felt the ropes were holding the British fighter up.

Celebrities like actress Rosie Perez congratulated Lomachenko. The New York city-based Perez flew across the country to witness the southpaw Ukrainian star in person. She was not disappointed.

Super lightweight rising star Arnold Barboza stunned former world champion Mike Alvarado with a right uppercut. The South El Monte, California fighter has raced up the rankings.

WBO super middleweight world titlist Gilberto Ramirez moved up in weight to the light heavyweight division to try out Tommy Karpency at 175 pounds. Here he attacked the body with a right hook. Karpency could not come out for the fifth round giving Ramirez the win by knockout.

Crolla tried to use his stellar defense to stymie the incessant attacks of Lomachenko. He was seldom allowed opportunities to ignite his own attack.

After nearly ending the fight in the third round, Lomachenko needed mere seconds in the fourth round to end the fight with this right cross to the head of Crolla who was counted out.

Another celebrity at Lomachenko's victory was Los Angeles Rams football coach Sean McVey seen here talking to the champion after his victory at Staples Center.

Barboza raced away in jubilation after knocking out Alvarado seen her being rescued by referee Tom Taylor. Barboza now wants a fight with any of the super lightweight world champions including Jose Carlos Ramirez or Maurice Hooker.

Zurdo Ramirez was victorious in his debut at light heavyweight and may stay at this weight division. He said he felt powerful at 175 pounds.
