Dawson.

A tenuous first
round saw Hopkins
befuddle Dawson
with his movement
and defense.

A few times they
clinched on the
inside. That proved
to be a harbinger
of doom.

During a clinch the
elder Hopkins was
tossed to the floor
and was injured.
Dawson looked on
as the ringside
physician declared
the fight over.

Antonio DeMarco of
Mexico and Jorge
Linares of Venezuela
put on a great show
as they battled for

  Early on Linares used
his speed and boxing

Midway through the
fight the tide shifted
and DeMarco seemed
to find the timing of
the faster Linares.

DeMarco turned on
the pressure in the
11th round and the
referee stopped the
fight. Linares could
not keep up and lost
to Mexico's DeMarco.

Brooklyn's Paulie
Malignaggi was a big
winner in his fight
with Mexico's knockout
punching Orlando Lora.
The quickster could be
a big part of a proposed
welterweight tournament.

  Dewey Bozella had his
long dreamed about
big night. The
wrongly imprisoned
fighter won his first
and only pro bout.
Bozella will now
retire and work with
youth.

Promoter Oscar De La
Hoya's Golden Boy had
a great fight card despite
the shortened light
