Devin Haney Leads Card

WFC 73 Live Boxing in Agua Caliente Casino this Saturday June 24

Professional boxing returns to Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California this Saturday, June 24 with the 73 edition of World Fighting Championship (WFC), a card headlined by young undefeated Las Vegas sensation Devin Haney along with some of the best local talent. The show will also feature Devon De La Hoya, son of boxing great Oscar De La Hoya, and Joel Diaz Jr., son of the respected trainer Joel Diaz, in separate amateur bouts.

Haney (15-0, 10 KOs) of Las Vegas will take on Angel Aispuro (8-5-2, 5  KOs) of Mexico in an eight round lightweight bout. Haney, who is 18 years old and one of the hottest rising prospects in professional boxing, will be seeking his fifth victory of the year.

Also in the card is local prospect Javier Padilla (2-0, 2 KOs) of Rancho Mirage, who is managed and trained by Joel Diaz, as well as the popular Dominic Serna Jr. (1-0, 1 KO), who is managed by former two-time world champion Tim Bradley. Serna had a sensational debut on April 28 of this year in Burbank, California.

Padilla will be featured on a four-round featherweight bout and Serna Jr. will face Jose Fabian Naranjo (3-6-1) in a four-round featherweight bout. Edgar Martinez, another one of Bradley’s managed boxers, will take on Mario Aguirre in a four-round lightweight bout.

“Dominic and Edgar are two young boxers who are hungry and always ready to fight. Fans are going to enjoy seeing them fight, so come out and support the future of the sport of boxing this Saturday night,” said Bradley.

WFC has promoted 72 boxing and MMA shows throughout the United States over the past four years and this will be their first boxing show in California. Their cards are full of local talent, giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of their hometown fans. There will be a total of six professional and four amateur bouts in the card.
