MAYWOOD, CALIF.-In the main event Andrey Klimov (12-0 7 KO’s) of Klimovsk, Russia defeated Eduardo Arcos (16-6-1, 4 KOs) of Tijuana.

Klimov used his jab and left hook. Arcos was catching Klimov with a jab-cross combo. There was a head butt that cut Klimov by his hair line. Klimov landed to the body. They both exchanged good combinations and Arcos was cut on his left eye.

As the bell for the fourth round rang, Klimov threw a right hand and caught Arcos. Arcos was out and was about to fall but held on to the ropes.  Arcos corner was upset and was arguing with the referee. The referee warned him that if Arcos could not continue it would be a TKO for Klimov. Arcos was not able to continue, and the win was given to Klimov making him the new WBC lightweight champion.

In the junior featherweight division Ivan Garcia (0-1-1) of Solapa Guerrero and Emmanuel Machorro (0-3-1) of Mexico City fought to a majority draw. Both fighters went heads up throwing wild punches. The technique was gone as they both unleashed their punches. One judge scored the fight 39-37 Garcia, the other two judges scored it 38-38 a majority draw.

In the super bantamweight division Jessie Villanueva (1-0) of Palmdale stopped Ludwin Mondragon (0-5) of Michoacan. Villanueva was catching Mondragon with straight rights and putting him off balance. He went to the body and came back on top. Mondragon then landed a hard right and Villanueva fell but was caught by the ropes. Villanueva bounced back.

A short right from Villanueva dropped Mondragon in the third round. Villanueva landed a hard right that hurt Mondragon. He then continued to land his combinations. The referee stepped in and halted the fight at 1:58 of the third round as Mondragon was no longer responding.

In the super lightweight division Vage Saurhan (2-0-1) and Ramon Flores (3-10-3) of Guadalajara fought to a technical draw after the fight was stopped by the commission. The fight was scheduled for four three minute rounds.

Saurhan used his jab and danced around keeping Flores on the outside. As Saurhan switched to southpaw, he landed an overhand left and dropped Flores. Flores tried holding himself up but placed his glove on the canvas and was given an eight count.

In round two, Flores attacked throwing wild punches. Saurhan used great foot work and snapped out his punches. Flores landed wild overhand rights and snapped Saurhan’s head back, but he continued to move and hit.

After the second round was over the commission announced that the fight had to be stopped until they had paramedics on site. The so called paramedics that were present gave false information. They were not paramedics. There was 90 minute lag before the real paramedics showed up. By that time the fighters were too cold to start and finish the last two rounds.
